Free Car Seats Part of National Health Week

The Greater Prince William Health Center is holding a variety of free programs including the opportunity for low-income parents to receive a free car seat.

Low income parents have a chance Thursday to apply for a free car seat at the .

The Northern Virginia Family Service is making 30 car seats available on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are being taken at the Greater Prince William Health Center from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday.

The car seat giveaway is one event the center is holding in honor of National Health Week. Earlier this week, the center held free health screenings, mammograms, workshops and more. Thursday and Friday, the center is also offering information on healthy eating, including healthy snacks and recipes, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

”National Community Health Center Week recognizes the important role of facilities like the Health Center in providing affordable, high quality, health care to all people, regardless of income,” said Health Center Executive Director Frank Principi. “We encourage residents from all over the greater Prince William area to visit the health center and learn about our integrated and coordinated approach to health care.”
