Bits and Pieces

The American Wartime Museum, Dale City Civic Association scholarship, and other things from around Dale City this week.

American Wartime Museum

I attended a delightful reception at the Metropolitan Club, hosted by the American Wartime Museum on Wednesday, March 30. The museum is soliciting donations and seeking members to help build the proposed $50 million facility that is slated to open in November of 2014.

I was privileged to meet many dignitaries, including Chuck Robb, and Medal of Honor winner, “Barney” Barnum. Chairman Corey Stewart and Supervisors Maureen Caddigan, John Jenkins, and Frank Principi were also among the large crowd gathered to learn more about the museum and how to help support it.

We really need your help to make this vision a reality. If you’d like to contribute or work on one of our committees, please contact me or visit our website: www.nmaw.org.
