Woodbridge Man Wanted in Dale City Burglary

Police also looking for a 17-year-old from Stafford.

Police are looking for two teenage suspects after a burglary and grand larceny occurred in Dale City Jan. 2.

A homeowner in the 5000 block of Kapp Lane in Dale City told police that a burglary happened sometime between 2 p.m. on Jan. 1 and 2 a.m. on Jan. 2.

Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said that entry appeared to have been gained through a locked window. In total, three TVs, a laptop, a car and two gaming consoles were reported missing. The electronics are valued around $2,000. The car, a 2000 red four-door Nissan Xterra, was reported missing from the driveway.

Perok said that through information obtained, it was found that the two suspects – one a juvenile – were responsible for the burglary and stolen car.

Warrants have been obtained for the the two suspects, but attempts to locate them have been unsuccessful, said Perok.

Police have a warrant for Christopher Laquan Whitaker, 18, of Woodbridge and a 17-year-old Stafford male. Whitaker is described as a black male, 5-foot-11, 140 pounds of thin build with black hair and brown eyes. He is wanted for possession of stolen property.

Anyone with information relating to this case is asked to call Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700 or 1-866-411-TIPS. You don’t have to give your name, just the information. You could earn up to a $1,000 cash reward.

If the 17-year old is suspected of doing big-boy things like Grand Laceny and Grand Theft Auto, his name and photo need to be put out there too. These "kids" know that they will be "protected" and the adults push them out there figuring that more than likely, the worse thing that can happen is a slap on the wrist. Let me know who is up to no good in MY neighborhood!

I hear you, Joe. But it's police policy that identity of minors, unless they are tried as adults, are not disclosed. This case hasn't made it to court yet, but I understand your point.

Hopefully he will make it to court TO be identified. I understand the desire to protect minors from the public, but when will the public be defended against these minors. Note another local report:
