Weekend Planner: Book Sale, Scarecrow Competition
Get out and about this weekend in the Woodbridge area.
The Friends of Chinn Park Regional Library is hosting a book sale from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday at the library. Used books, magazines and audiobook materials will be on sale for various prices.
At St. Paul United Methodist Church in Woodbridge on Saturday, there’s a family scarecrow competition. Families and individuals are invited to compete in a scarecrow-making contest held in the church’s pumpkin patch. Bring old clothes and other props to complete your scarecrow; a pumpkin head, post and straw filling will be provided.
At Prospero’s Books in the City of Manassas, the author of Scars, Exile & Vindication will be signing books from noon to 4 p.m.
China’s Cirque Chinois will be performing in Manassas at the Hylton Performing Arts Center on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m., tickets are $32, $40 and $48. The world-acclaimed circus troupe has juggling, flying trapeze and contortions.
