Three New Stores to Open in Potomac Town Center
Washington Business Journal reports on two new deals just inked.
Washington Business Journal reported today that three new retail stores have signed deals with the Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center shopping center.
According to the article, the area's first Carhartt, an Ann Taylor Loft and Brighton Collectibles stores will join the new development.
The news comes in the same week as the announcement by Woodbridge District Supervisor Frank Principi that a Starbucks and Potbelly Sandwich Shop would also be joining the shopping center.
A second half of Potomac Town Center is slated to open in October 2012.
Construction has begun on that second half of the shopping hub. A 500-unit apartment building is proposed for behind the Wegmans grocery store.
Here's the list of businesses that have signed on to join the center:
- Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill
- Golfsmith
- Old Navy
- P.F. Chang's
- Firebirds Wood Fired Grill
- DSW Shoes
- Coldwater Creek
- Chico’s
- White House Black Market
- REI
- Sport & Health
- Travinia Italian Kitchen
- Charming Charlie
- Starbucks
- Potbelly Sandwich Shop

Not official yet, but there have been high level discussions to get an Apple store there. Not sure where that stands at this point, but that would be great.
And with Potomac Mills getting Cheesecake Factory, I'd love to see Rainforest Cafe go in here.

An Apple store would be great. No more having to drive to Fairfax for Apple products! Some people have talked about wanting a Great America Restaurant (Coastal Flats, Sweetwater Tavern, etc.) there or a Trader Joe's.

This is great news. This project is almost fully leased. Hopefully the remaining available sites would be grand slams. Thanks Lauren.

What happened to DSW? I would love for one of the Great American restaurants to come, and Trader Joe's!! Is there a petition or any way to request these? Thanks, Lauren! Go Lancers!

Hey Cris,
DSW is on the list above! There's no "petition." The development company, Roadside Development, is the one who is negotiating leases with the companies.

It would be wonderful to have Trader Joes but Wegmans might object although for me I would shop at both as Trader Joes is unique.

Hi Pattie!
I remember seeing your comment on another one of these articles about Potomac Town Center. I don't believe there are plans to bring one immediately to PTC. It would be an organizer's dream, though!
