The Cheesecake Factory to Open Sunday at Potomac Mills Mall

It is the restaurant's first location in Prince William County.

When The Cheesecake Factory at Potomac Mills Mall opens at 4 p.m. on Nov. 11, it will be the first open location in Prince William County for the popular chain restaurant, but its seventh location in Virginia.

Real Housewives of Northern Virginia editor and blogger Andrea Khoury got a sneak peek of the new location this week. Mid-Atlantic manager Dave showed her and a friend around the preparation and storage areas.

"Dave took us for a twirl around their prep areas in the back and showed us the super tiny freezer and the amazingly organized refrigerator," Khoury wrote. "I was completely shocked at the size of the freezer for such a large restaurant, but Dave said the only items that are frozen are basically the cheesecakes and shrimp. Everything else is made fresh daily. I had always been under the impression that The Cheesecake Factory served mostly pre-packaged dishes - the word 'factory' is a total misnomer."

The restaurant's 8,032 square foot dining room and a 2,234 square foot patio will accommodate 274 guests. The restaurant will provide about 250 new jobs to the Woodbridge area, said Potomac Mills.

“Potomac Mills continues to grow with more fashion forward retailers and popular dining options such as The Cheesecake Factory,” said Caroline Barry Green, director of marketing and business development at Potomac Mills in a news release. “This restaurant opening along with others coming soon will add a new dimension to Potomac Mills’ already successful format.”

The Cheesecake Factory is only the first of three new restaurants opening at Potomac Mills Mall in the next few months. Bahama Breeze will open later this year, and Bobby's Burger Palace will open in early 2013.

Great addition to Eastern Prince William. We want and deserve better choices in restaurants, retail, and entertainment. Next step should be clearing out the loitering teens and Tweens from the movie theater. Those without a ticket should be told to leave!

Maybe they should create some activity center or community agendas so that the teens and tweens will stop loitering. I enjoy hearing the movies as well.
