Suspect Arrested in Homeless Camp Shooting
Police have arrested a man and charged him with a shooting near a homeless camp yesterday.
Police have arrested a man in connection with yesterday's shooting near a homeless camp.
Prince William County police said Timothy Craig Freeland, 53, of 13609 Rush Dr in Woodbridge, was charged with shooting a 40-year-old man Thursday. The victim is expected to live.
Police said Freeland had an ongoing feud with the victim and they got into a fight yesterday. Freeland allegedly shot the victim in the upper body.
The shooting was initially reported at about 11:20 on Thursday morning. Police located Freeland in the woods at about 2:30 p.m.
Freeland is charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
