Shop in Occoquan For Small Business Saturday

If you're looking for unique, local merchandise, look no further than Occoquan.

Today is Small Business Saturday, a day set aside to support local communities like Occoquan by shopping at small businesses.

In the greater Woodbridge area, Occoquan is a small business hub. Woodbridge may have Potomac Mills Mall, but Occoquan has the historic business district: the streets in the center of town lined with retail, art, food, and service businesses.

Looking for art? Try Kelly's Artbox, the Artists Undertaking Gallery, or the Loft Gallery. Hand-crafted jewelry? Try Spiral Creations. Sassy decor and novelty items? Try the Polka Dot Divas. Older furniture and decor filled with memories from times gone by? Occoquan Antiques is for you. If you're looking for a new tattoo, True Love Waits has your solution. Cupcakes? Sugar Buzz has your fix. The Coffee House of Occoquan, the Garden Cafe, and the Blue Arbor Cafe provide easy breakfast and lunch options.

This is not meant to be anywhere close to an exhaustive list. These are only a few of the many businesses in Occoquan. For more information on business in Occoquan, see the Occoquan Merchants Association. For an informative discussion on why local small businesses are so important, see Keri's column on bringing better businesses to the area.
