Police Updates: Sexual Battery, Mob Assault, Burglary

Police updates for May 24.

A Dale City man was arrested Saturday and charged with sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl in his care.

The victim told police that Martin De Jesus Valle-Alas, 28, of 3953 Forestdale Ave, had sexually abused her. Valle-Alas was charged with aggravated sexual battery, object sexual penetration and indecent liberties with a minor in a supervisory role.

Valle-Alas was held without bond. No court date information was available.

Assault by Mob

Two teenagers told police they were attacked by a group of men while walking in the 14800 block of Darbydale Avenue on Friday.

The victims, a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, reported that they were attacked by four males, between the ages of 16 and 23. The two victims were able to get away and contact police. Police said minor injuries were reported.

Burglary

A homeowner in the 5600 block of Naylor Court reported that money was stolen from their home after a burglary on Saturday. The homeowner told police the burglary occurred sometime between 8:45 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Police said there were no signs of forced entry. Entry was believed to have been made through one of several unlocked doors to the home.
