Marijuana Charges Made Public After Two-Month Investigation

Suspects arrested in January after search of two area homes, according to Prince William County Police.

 

Police are just now releasing information in the arrest more than two months ago of two Woodbridge men after the search of two area homes, according to Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.

Zohaib Shah, 28, of the 2000 block of Horizon Court, is charged with possesion with intent to distribute over 5 lbs. of marijuana and transporting more than 5 lbs. of marijuana into the State of Virginia.

Charles Robert Barbour, 30, of the 13000 block of Hawthorn Lane, is charged with possession of marijuana.

Each was arrested on Jan. 8 when detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation into the distribution of marijuana, according to Perok.

"As a result of the investigation, an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and marijuana were seized, in addition to, a vehicle and a firearm," Perok said. "The following arrests were also made without incident. These arrests were previously held for investigative purposes."

Arrest information was withheld from the public pending an investigation, according to Perok.

Both men are expected to appear in court on May 10, 2013.
