Daquona Verdale Peede, 18, of Dale City, was charged with robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

A local man allegedly robbed the Mini Mart in Dale City at gunpoint, then fled on a bicycle, according to Prince William County Police.

Daquona Verdale Peede, 18, of Evansdale Road in Dale City, was charged with robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Police responded to the call for help at Mini Mart on Cardinal Drive in Dale City at 10:51 p.m. Oct. 30, after the store was robbed. Employees at the store reported that unknown man, who was later identified as Peede, entered the store, showed a handgun and demanded money.

Police said that Peede allegedly fled on a bike before an officer found him on Edge Water Drive. He was detained without incident and arrested following an investigation.

Police recovered the money and determined that the weapon Peede had was actually an airsoft gun. No one reported any injuries.

The preceding information was provided by the Prince William County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

If we had more programs in place for these youths, they would not be so bored to commit these types of crimes.

Now that I got THAT BS out of the way, even though this person is an adult, I'm SURE he's still livng at home with mommy and/or daddy!
