Prince William County Police have identified the decaying body surveyors came across in Dale City on Dec. 13, 2011 as George Astrit Kallajxhi. 

Police said Kallajxhi, 58, of no fixed address was reported missing by family memebers on Sept. 21, 2011. No foul play is expected in Kallajxhi's death. Medical examiners ruled the death a suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head; a handgun was found at the scene. 

Surveyors discovered the body last year after working the intersection of Dale Boulevard and Benita Fitzgerald Drive around 11:30 a.m. Police said the body was badly decomposed and was located about 350-400 yards from the roadway.
