Police have arrested a man in connection with the Jan. 29 reported abduction attempt of a Woodbridge woman at a Super 8 Motel in Dumfries, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

Dion Langley Phoenix, 21, is charged with abduction, burglary andpossession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. On Jan. 31,  Phoenix turned himsel in to police at the Garfield District Station in Woodbridge.

In the Jan. 29 incident, a 32-year-old Woodbridge woman told police that an unknown man broke into her room, locked the door and did not allow her to leave. The victim managed to call the police while the man was distracted.

Phoenix has no fixed address. His court date and bond information are unavailable.
