The Aug. 6 emergency meeting at the Lake Ridge Community Swim Club may involve negotiations to keep the Lake Ridge Lancers at their home of a few decades, the LRCSC announced today.
"The LRCSC has responded to the voice of its members and invited The Lancers Swim Team to a dual board meeting to negotiate a win/win contract for the upcoming season," the notice read. "We are hoping to move forward from this point and work together to negotiate a contract that meets both the needs of the Swim Team and Swim Club."
The LRCSC board now says that it is not the number of swimmers that cause a problem for the club, but the "demands on pool facilities to accommodate them."
The board also promised to involve the club members more directly in the days ahead.
"You will see agendas and minutes of each meeting posted online, for starters," the statement read. "In every crisis, there is an opportunity to learn and grow. We have learned alot and will do all we can to make this work for everyone."

Thank you LRCSC for your generosity. We hope a long term, mutually beneficial agreement can be reached. It's all about our kids and having a nice welcoming pool to relax at.
