Lancers Board and LRCSC Board to Meet Tonight

This is the next step in the ongoing negotiations process that will determine whether the Lancers return to their longtime home.

The Lake Ridge Lancers Board and the Lake Ridge Community Swim Club Board will meet tonight at 7 p.m. The meeting is the next step in the ongoing negotiations process that will determine whether the Lancers return to the pool that hosted them for decades.

The Lancers first received the news that they would not be returning to the LRCSC on July 30, only a few days after they beat out the Barracudas and Stingrays to win the White Division championship.

Lancers, parents and swim club members reacted to the decision, racking up 153 comments on the original Patch article. After a few days, the LRCSC invited the Lancers back and said they were willing to negotiate.

An emergency swim club meeting was called for Aug. 6, and both swim team parents and pool members voiced their concerns about the swim team's relationship with the swim club and the swim club's operations.

The Lancers have not yet made a decision to return. After tonight's meeting, the pool board will meet on Aug. 22.

What comments do you have for the swim team and swim club leaders?
