Elderly Man Dies in Accident on Dale Boulevard
Herman Goodwin, 87, of Woodbridge, suffered a medical emergency as he was driving, police said.
An elderly Woodbridge man died in a car crash Saturday morning after he apparently had a medical emergency, Prince William County Police said.
Herman Goodwin, 87, died at a local hospital after the accident, police said. Goodwin was leaving the bank on the 4100 block of Dale Boulevard around 9:27 a.m., when he suffered an apparent medical emergency. Police said the vehicle continued forward and ran off the side of the parking lot and into an embankment.

Prayers go out to Mr. Goodwin's family, but THIS is a clear indication for all to stay alert on the roads. Your perfect driving may not prevent being hit head on by someone having medical issues behind the wheel.

I can't remember about this particular story, but we don't always get information from the police on the same day of an accident. We also have a very small staff, so sometimes things are not immediately posted if we're working on other stories.
