The Blockbuster in Cheshire Station Plaza will see its last day of business on April 19. The store is being closed and customers are being asked to transition to Blockbuster's online service.

All merchandise in the store is discounted, and even the shelves are for sale. Stacks of used DVDs are being sold at deep discounts.

Store manager John Lee said customers who come in to the store before it closes can get signed up for a free two-month trial of the online service. Blockbuster locations will still be open in Lake Ridge and Woodbridge.

We do use Netflix and have done so for at least six years. Still, I am sorry to see any business close and another vacant storefront. I hope Cheshire Station gets a new tenant quickly.
