$32K Stolen in Queensdale Burglary
A home in the Queensdale neighborhood was hit hard by burglars.
A homeowner in the Queensdale neighborhood came home Monday to find that their house had been burglarized, and $32,000 worth of items had been stolen.
The homeowner in the 13200 block of Queensdale Drive told police that the burglary had happened between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Jewelry, a laptop and two guns were reported stolen.
Police said a rear window had been broken out.
Two weeks ago, one Dale City home had $10,000 worth of goods and a car stolen, while another home had $5,000 worth of items stolen in a break-in. In one case, a rear basement window had been broken out, and in the second, the rear sliding glass door had been broken.
Prince William County Police spokesman Jonathan Perok said there was no evidence to suggest the three burglaries were related, but said that it is not uncommon for higher value items to be stolen around the holiday season. Perok said that guns should always be locked in a gun safe, and said that a small personal safe for items such as expensive jewelry can help protect belongings.

Wow! I think if someone took all my possessions and all my furniture it wouldn't be worth $32,000! Maybe if they took the appliances, too?
Sorry- I don't mean to be cracking a joke...it is just hard to imagine that many valuables.
I hope the thief or thieves will be apprehended and that neighbors report any suspicious persons or activity in their neighborhoods.
